Nika Mel’s parliamentary immunity has been terminated, therefore the prosecutor’s office will file a motion in the city court today to use detention as a measure of restraint — said the prosecutor of the case Amiran Guluashvili in a conversation with the media.
«We will raise the issue of Melia’s restraining order in the city court today, we do not know when the hearing will be scheduled. «However, Nika Melia can avoid imprisonment if he pays bail before a decision is made,» the prosecutor said.
According to him, it does not matter whether Melia will attend the trial, according to the law, it is possible to hold the trial and make a decision without the accused.
