The Council of the European Union has issued a statement stating that the President of the Council of the European Union, Charles Michel, will visit Georgia. The visit will take place from February 28 to March 3.
«In Georgia, he will meet with President Salome Zurabishvili, Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili, and the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Archil Talakvadze. «He will also visit the administrative borderline and meet with representatives of the opposition,» the statement said.
The Council of the European Union notes that in addition to bilateral relations and the overall fight against Covid-19, the future of the Eastern Partnership will be an important issue.
