There will be no early elections. This is the red line that the government will not cross and I saw it at yesterday’s meeting — Prime Minister Gharibashvili told the media
«Our principled position is that there will be no elections. «There is no legitimate reason for this. We are acting in the interests of the people and not in the whims of specific opposition forces,» he said.
According to Gharibashvili, there is no alternative to constructive dialogue. However, how constructive the opposition is can be seen from today’s rally.
The Prime Minister also noted that after yesterday’s meeting it became clear that there is no common opinion in the opposition and some of them are really eager to have a dialogue and calm the situation.
