Russia and China are setting up a moon research center

An agreement has been reached between Russia’s Roscosmos and the Chinese Space Agency, according to which the two states will establish a joint study center on the moon — the BBC reports.

The Prince International Research Station will examine the lunar surface and conduct various experiments as well.

The International Lunar Science Station will conduct a wide range of scientific research into the study and use of the moon, according to a statement from both agencies.

Scientists say China and Russia will use their accumulated experience in space science, develop a roadmap for the construction of an international lunar science research station, and exploit the lunar resource, the statement said.
